Chateau Groleau
When Paule and Robert Raboutet married in 1935, the Raboutet family vineyards were born out of the union of Château Groleau from Paule's family and Château Le Chay from Robert’s. The two separate Château were anyway existing and producing at least since the mid nineteen century. The main interesting character of this traditional oriented style of Bordeaux, has to be found in the high presence of the Malbec grape which enters in the bland of both Château together with the Merlot. Didier, the son of Robert and Paule, along with the wife Sylvie have continued making wines as the fourth generation to work their lands.
