IL Marroneto
The vineyards of Il Marroneto extend on the north slope of Montalcino hill, about 350m high, in the immediate vicinity of the old walls of the town. The first part of the vineyard was planted in 1975, then, a second part in 1979 and finally in 1984. Great attention has been paid to the grape growing system, finalising all efforts to obtain the highest quality of the grapes. The cellar has been built in large and austere environment, inserted into a stony slope, in order to preserve on the inside the large cask barrels from Allier and Slavonia, where the Brunello di Montalcino wines from IlMarroneto season patiently.
